Angela and Matt will discuss how these two high-profile national charities are working together to transform the experiences of their volunteers at every step of the process, using digital technology and innovative solutions to help recruit, train and develop new volunteer talent and skills.

Both organisations face similar challenges in recruiting and onboarding new volunteers including being unable to meet face-to-face during the pandemic. Their innovative collaboration encompasses the whole volunteer recruitment process, looking for opportunities to make economies of scale, sharing learning points and best practice. Their new digital system is due to be rolled out in 2023 thanks to a £2M+ grant from the Pears Foundation.
