Hosted by Anna Schebsdat, Programme Recruitment Manager, at City, University of London’s Dubai Centre, this event will feature an information session on the Executive MBA programme at Bayes Business School and the latest updates on the Dubai Centre. Attendees are also invited to join a masterclass by Prof Steven Thomas, Professor of Finance at Bayes Business School, who will discuss the regional financial trends and economic outlook for 2023 Following the masterclass, all alumni are invited to catch up and (re)connect at a networking reception. Beverages and snacks will be served.

Joining the evening and keen to connect with alumni in the region, will be Torky AlSajjan (Executive MBA 2017), Alumni Ambassador for Saudi Arabia, and Director of Business Development and Partnerships at Misk. This event will give participants an excellent opportunity to engage in expert talk and thought-provoking conversation about the financial sector with fellow alumni, academics and prospective students.

Profiles

Professor Steven Thomas - Professor of Finance, Bayes Business School

Steve Thomas is Professor of Finance at the Bayes Business School, London, and Dubai, and has been Associate Dean for the MBA programs.

He has published research extensively in the areas of economics and finance and advises investment funds on systematic investment strategies through his company Solent Systematic Investment Strategies. He has delivered training courses in the areas of banking and finance in the MENA region and particularly in the KSA.

Anna Schebsdat - Programme Recruitment Manager, City, University of London’s Dubai Centre

Anna oversees the Recruitment of Executive MBA at City, University of London’s Dubai campus. With more than a decade in Education Management at the world’s top schools and based in Dubai for the last 11 years, she is also an alumna of Columbia Business School in New York and is leading its regional chapter.
