Information Session - Wednesday 6th Nov, 6:30pm – Room 2002
Would you like the opportunity to spend two weeks working in a community in Ethiopia? Our volunteering scheme with UK based charity Helping Hanna’s Community offers just that - with flights and accommodation paid for. This is a chance to work on an initiative that makes a huge difference to the many children involved. Come along to the information session on Wednesday 6th November to find out more about this fantastic opportunity!
Helping Hanna's Community (formerly known as Hanna’s Orphanage) is a small UK charity set up to support the maintenance and expansion of Holistic Opportunity for Humanity (HOH) in Ethiopia. HOH began taking in orphaned children and has since then expanded its reach to assist not only the children, but their parents, and the elderly within the community. Each year since 2010 Bayes has funded a small group of students and staff to spend two weeks teaching at their summer school. The trip takes place around the beginning of August. Selected volunteers will be expected to fundraise and raise awareness for the charity in the months leading up to the trip, and to be as hands on as possible.
Sign up to attend the talk and find out more about the project, how you can get involved, and the positive impact you could make.
