Dear AIR-Q Members,
Seven years ago, the Bayes AIR-Q Club was founded to bring together a community of students sharing a common interest in the Actuarial, Insurance, Risk, and Quant sectors. Over the years, the club has expanded to over 400 members and provides a wealth of opportunities for members to grow their industrial knowledge and network with like-minded peers and career professionals.
This year, we aim to build on the strong foundation of previous AIR-Q cohorts while having a renewed focus on cultivating a strong sense of community between our members, as well as fostering collaborations within the university and the AIR-Q industries. Some of the actions our executive committee are taking to achieve this goal include:

Co-Presidents, Bayes AIR-Q Club

Co-President
Fueled by passion for reinsurance and risk management, I am excited to be part of the Bayes AIR-Q club. Building on what previous cohorts have created, I aim to further enrich this community and connect students with each other and the corporate world. Ultimately, being part of AIR-Q is about learning, meaningful connections and a genuinely rewarding experience that lasts beyond the time at Bayes.

Co-President
As an aspiring actuary, I hold deep interests in the fields of actuarial science, reinsurance, and financial risk, which drew me to join AIR-Q. I've always been passionate about serving my fellow student community, and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to empower others in this field to develop themselves both academically and professionally through our club's activities. I truly look forward to creating an environment for collective growth, and support within our Bayes AIR-Q community.

Secretary
I am a part-qualified actuary with a passion for risk, insurance, and football (not necessarily in that order). My goal as Secretary is simple: to make sure you get the most out of your membership. I keep the gears turning behind the scenes, ensuring you have access to the best events and that your experience with AIR-Q is smooth and rewarding. And if you're looking for a football teammate or just want to chat about the weekend's matches, hit me up!

Events Officer
With nearly a decade of experience as a lawyer in the reinsurance industry, I bring a unique perspective to the actuarial, risk, and insurance space. Entering a predominantly quantitative and actuarial world from a legal background has reinforced my belief that the true strength of our industry lies in its multidisciplinary nature. As the Events Officer for the Actuarial, Risk, Insurance & Quant Business Club at Bayes Business School, my goal is to create opportunities for members to connect with leading experts, gain first-hand insights, and explore the diverse career paths and innovations shaping our sector.

Market Reports Supervisor
With 7 years of reinsurance experience, I am looking forward to learning more about the actuarial, risk and quants worlds as well as some aspects of insurance I may have missed out on, through this club. As the Market Reports Supervisor, my hope is that we can all dive into these four areas and stay up to date with the latest trends and impacts. I love to learn and can't wait to learn with all of you!

Communications and Marketing Officer
With a strong enthusiasm for understanding complex financial systems and the role of analytics in decision-making, I'm excited to serve as the Marketing & Communications Officer for AIR-Q. This year, I hope to amplify the club's voice by creating clearer, more engaging communication that helps students discover the value AIR-Q offers. My focus is on building a welcoming environment, increasing awareness of career pathways, and ensuring members feel connected to both peers and industry professionals. To me, AIR-Q is a platform for learning, confidence-building, and forming connections that shape our journey beyond the classroom.
